You won’t believe what’s happening at Disney’s Animal Kingdom® Theme Park!
Just today, the Walt Disney World® Resort released some exciting updates surrounding Disney’s Animal Kingdom® Theme Park! Not only did they release an official opening date for Pandora – The World of Avatar, a starting date for the long-awaited Rivers of Light nighttime show had been released!

First, according to the entertainment schedule for Disney’s Animal Kingdom® Theme Park, the Rivers of Light nighttime show will beginning on Friday, February 17. This new show will combine water, sound, and light in a way that has never been seen before.
According to the Walt Disney World® Resort website, “Before your eyes, clusters of lantern light shift and shape into stunning animal spirit forms—the Tiger, Turtle, Elephant and Owl. Spellbound, you’re transported across Asian jungles and tropical oceans to African savannahs and North American mountains.” Now how cool does that sound?

But there’s more! In addition to the normal priority seating available through the Disney FastPass+ service, a special Rivers of Light dining package will be available for booking! This dining package allows guests to enjoy breakfast, lunch, or dinner at Tusker House, or lunch or dinner at Tiffins, and enjoy priority seating to the show!

Also this week, Disney announced an official opening date for the new Pandora – The World of Avatar land that will be opening at the park.

We previously reported that the land would be opening this summer, but we now know that guests can begin experiencing this new land beginning on May 27, 2017!
This new immersive land will feature stunningly-detailed surroundings and attractions designed to transport you straight into the middle of the world of Avatar. This incredible world will be home to several new attractions, including Navi River Journey, a boat ride through the bioluminescent forest, and Avatar: Flight of Passage, a flying simulator attraction giving guests the opportunity to ride a mountain Banshee. Pandora – The World of Avatar will also include several restaurants and shops.
